What Type of Glasses I Wear

The type of glasses I usually wear are most likely yellow ray ban wayfarers. They're not necessarily as clear as normal glasses, but they do "protect my eyes" from the sun. I have to admit, I live a pretty "sheltered" life as I live in a local Chicagoland suburb. I'm 17 years old and being Korean, I'm not exposed to much of what's going on in the rest of the world outside of what I see on the news and what my parents mention they saw from the news. However, it's not like I'm completely confined to the "Shire"area, and I've been to various different parts of the city as well as other local towns, especially when I'm driving around with my dad (as his job spans across various areas/businesses). I also have my church to thank for keeping my "sheltered" life in perspective as we like being as alert with what's going on the world around us. Through my church, I've been able to go downtown and talk with a small community of homeless people at night, I was able to go to the town that was still greatly devastated by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, meet the locals of a rural town in Iowa, and even more further, fellowship and serve with Dominicans in the Dominican Republic. Even with the service trips within the country, I realized just how different my lifestyle is even compared to kids the same age just a state away. Even among my friends who live only an hour away and attend the same church live in a different way than I do. They go to a school that our church jokes about is in "the middle of nowhere" while a good number of us attend the same school here. I've been to her area twice and have actually been to her school to watch a musical, and even then, I realized how different it was compared to my school. Even though I already was aware of just how many different resources my school provided its students with, I never realized the difference in something as seemingly small as even a musical due to the different fundings/amount of people involved in such productions. And finally, my religion also affects my shades as we're inclined to look at different situations and people through a different way than society may typically see it, and although it's hard to maintain different perspectives while at church compared to while at church, I try my best to have integrity with my views and perspective regardless of where i may be. Although my shades aren't perfectly clear, wayfarers or sunglasses in general are still taken everywhere you may go, and you can wear them on a daily basis, so you're still exposed to many different places while wearing them. The fact that they're yellow also shows that I like to keep a positive view on things for the most part, wanting to give people the benefit of the doubt and look at situations through a positive light (however, this can also block myself from accepting things when they may not be as good as I hope at times).
